13th June 2009 (Saturday)

Lee Yean's 25th Birthday Party...

Both Lee Nyin and Lee Yean cooked spagetti, salmon sashimi, baked mushroom with cheese, prawn and salad for all of us.

And now...time for The Making of Yean's birthday cake which occupied half of my Saturday. Actually I really enjoyed making cakes for my friends as well as my colleagues. Yean should remember today cause it's my first time making birthday cake...

As usual, frosting the cake after baking...

The cake turned out to look more like my birthday cake. Made with lots of LOVE!!!

My first time trying to bake cake at home...

Need to practice frosting a cake...

Try out more variety. Got the marble cake ingredients from cook book.

taadaa...successful..it may look not that appealing but the marble cake texture supposed to be like that. Maybe I shouldn't cut the top part off.

Here comes the blackie....too lazy to frost it with chocolate cream frosting...

My new oven...

The 3 cakes I baked during the weekend comes out pretty good. I attended the first decorating class this morning. Haven't start to make roses yet but learned lots of theory on cake decorating and the tools. Interesting...

4th & Final Class...

Chocolate sponge cake...

To all my dear colleagues who always be my guinea pig every Monday, you guys are save at last cause this will be the last class. Don't be too sad cause I have signed up for "Wilton Method Cake Decorating Course 1" and the class will start next week Sunday same time. So you guys will have creamy flowers to eat every Monday...

My failed sponge cake. The instructors saw us (me and my baking partner) looked so sad, so she asked us to bake a new one. So, the failed one the instructor helped me to decorate with beautiful flowers and text. So, I hope after next month I can do something like this to the cake I bake...

This is the first time I see a bird nest and also bird eggs. I wonder how the birds actually made the nest. It was amazing. It all happened outside my house garden in a small tree...

It feels like a chicken without fur...2 pairs of chicken wings. It was pretty cute though...

These 2 birds was around the nest area all these while to keep an eye on the little birds...

Little birds thought their parents came with food for them...

We have been watching it grows for the past weeks but all of the sudden this evening, the 2 little birds fell off the nest and hit the ground. There were lots of ants surrounding it and we were too sad to take photos. Bye bye little birds...

	24th May 2009 (Sunday) 3rd Class... In order to bake cakes at home, mum bought me a mixer from Kitchen Aid that cost RM2600. Spent a bit of money this month to buy lots of baking utensils. I still need to buy an oven and I can bake lots and lots of cakes...
